What is the WhatsApp Business API, and what does OPT-WA add?
The WhatsApp Business app on a phone is for one person and one device. The WhatsApp Business API is Meta’s official channel for businesses that need several agents, automated replies, template campaigns and integrations, and it needs a platform to run on. OPT-WA is that platform, built and supported in Riyadh for Saudi businesses:
1
Your number on the official API
Your business number on the WhatsApp Business API through Meta, with business verification under your registered company name.
2
Template campaigns
Offers, reminders, order updates and renewals sent with Meta-approved templates to customers who opted in.
3
Automated replies and flows
Instant answers to the common questions, menus, booking and order flows, and a handover to a human when it matters.
4
A team inbox
Several agents on one number, with assignment, notes, tags and the history of every conversation.
5
Integrations
Your website forms, Salla or Zid store, CRM and ERP, so a lead or an order starts a WhatsApp conversation automatically.
6
Reports
Conversation and campaign reports in one dashboard, so you know what was sent, delivered and answered.
OPT-WA plans and prices (incl. 15% VAT)
Three plans, each paid upfront for 3, 6 or 12 months. Prices below come from our store at this moment and include 15% VAT. Meta’s per-message fees are paid by your business directly to Meta and are not part of these prices.
Not sure which plan fits your team? Tell us how many agents and numbers you have, and we reply with the plan and the activation steps.
Meta charges the business for template messages it sends (marketing, utility and authentication categories) according to its published rates for Saudi Arabia, and those fees are billed by Meta to your business directly; they are not part of the OPT-WA price, and we add nothing on top of replies inside an open customer conversation. Meta updates its rates from time to time; the current figures are on Meta’s developer documentation, and we help you estimate your monthly volume before you choose a plan.
What you need before activation
A business number
A Saudi or international number not currently on the WhatsApp app, or one you are ready to migrate.
Meta Business account
We create or connect it and submit the business verification with your commercial registration.
Commercial registration
Meta asks for it during business verification; the display name must match it.
Opt-in from your customers
Template campaigns go to customers who agreed to receive messages; we set up the opt-in on your site, store and forms.
Who is OPT-WA for?
Any Saudi business whose customers already write on WhatsApp and that has outgrown one phone: clinics confirming appointments, online stores sending order updates and recovering abandoned carts, real estate teams answering project enquiries, schools at enrolment time, recruitment offices, restaurants, and any team running ads that land on WhatsApp. International companies serving Saudi customers get a platform and a support team that work in English, in the Saudi time zone.

Questions about the WhatsApp Business API in Saudi Arabia
What does the WhatsApp Business API cost in Saudi Arabia?+
OPT-WA has three plans, each for a term of 3, 6 or 12 months paid upfront, at published prices incl. 15% VAT; the live figures are in the table on this page. A one-time setup fee applies to the 3 and 6 month terms and is waived on the yearly term, which also adds three free months. Meta’s per-message fees are separate and paid by you directly to Meta.
Are Meta’s message fees included?+
No. Meta charges the business per template message by category (marketing, utility, authentication) according to its price list for Saudi Arabia, and you pay those to Meta directly. Replies inside an open customer conversation carry no fee from us. The exact rates are on Meta’s developer documentation and change from time to time.
How long does activation take?+
Usually within 1–3 business days after payment, once we have your number, Meta Business account access and commercial registration for verification. Meta’s business verification itself can take longer, and we follow it up with you.
Can I keep my current WhatsApp number?+
Yes, if you migrate it from the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app to the API; the chats on the phone are not transferred, and the number can no longer be used in the app. Many businesses start with a new number and keep the old one on the phone during the transition.
How many users and numbers does each plan include?+
Smart WhatsApp Management: 2 users and 1 number. Automation & Integration: 5 users and 1 number. Complete Smart Suite: 10 users and up to 3 numbers. Extra users and extra numbers can be added at the prices shown in the store.
Does it work with Salla, Zid and my CRM?+
Yes. The Automation & Integration and Complete Smart Suite plans connect OPT-WA to your website forms, your Salla or Zid store, and your CRM or ERP, so orders, abandoned carts and leads trigger WhatsApp conversations. Custom integrations beyond the plan are quoted separately.
Does the team speak English?+
Yes. Our team supports you in Arabic and English; you write to us in English and we reply in English.
